Super Bowl spots shows us the movies that will be 2014 Blockbusters

Not everyone tunes into the superbowl and if you didn’t than you missed the trailers for 4 of the movies that will probably be the blockbusters for 2014, and 3 of them are sequels.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 picking up Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) at a point all of us can understand in our lives taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man, spending time with the
person he loves, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), high school graduation cannot come quickly enough. Peter has not forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that is a promise he cannot keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro(Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. After seeing the first Amazing Spider-Man I am expecting great things. Stone and Garfield have great on-screen chemistry and since they are dating off screen they must agree. :)  May of 2014 can’t come soon enough.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is the fourth installment of the Transformers series and my expectations are low. The first two movies hit the mark but by the third I couldn’t handle anymore. Apparently neither could director Michael Bay as he
changed out the lead role of Shia Lebouf and put Mark Wahlberg in his place. Additionally they added a few other heavy hitters like Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, to help this fourth installment beat the box office records in May of 2014.

Captain America: Winter Soldier After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America (Chris Evans) is living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow (Scarlette Johansen), Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon (Anthony Mackie). However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier. Not sure how I feel about this one I think the cheese coating might be a little to much for me. I loved the Avengers but Captain America by himself just doesn’t do it for me. Hopefully, the addition of Black Widow will pick up the sarcasm and smart action needed to take this movie to the next level. Coming to a theater near you in April of 2014.

Need for Speed The film revolves around a local street-racer who partners with a rich and arrogant business associate, only to find himself framed by his colleague and sent to prison. After he gets out, he joins a New York-to-Los Angeles race to get revenge. But when the ex-partner learns of the scheme, he puts a massive bounty on the racer's head, forcing him to run a cross-country gauntlet of illegal racers in all manner of supercharged vehicles. I am
guessing they are hoping to build off the followers of the video game and bank on some of the Fast and the Furious fans to lead a cast of Michael Keaton, Aaron Paul, Dakota Johnson, Imogen Poots, and Dominic Cooper. I don’t think this is one I’ll see in theaters seems to be extra cheesy, but you never know. Decide by March of 2014 that’s when it’s in a theater near you.
