Movie Review: American Hustle- Worth your $20 at the movies

If you want to see all movies up for awards this year see American Hustle. Acting is Oscar worthy or at

least a Golden Globe. Christian Bale is convincing with that come-over and pot belly he has you rolling the entire movie. Amy Addams is amazing witty and charming with her necklines reaching her belly button the entire movie; Bradley Cooper plays a great know it all jerry curl ass, and Jeremy Renner has you rooting for him the entire time. There is even a cameo by Robert De Niro what’s not to love?.

A Scorsese/Goodfellas vibe with the time period and cinematography but with constant laughs and less

blood. This movie has you rooting for the con artist from day one and has a screwed up love story under it all. For being 2 hours long I felt like some things just jumped from 0-100 and other parts dragged a bit they probably could have done this movie in an hour and 40 minutes.

Over all Great costumes, great soundtrack, great acting, great entertainment. See it in theaters. Don’t agree? Share your comments at www.yourmediaworld.com.

Move Review: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug- Better than the first or not?

Bringing in $31.3 million on Friday in North America is a 16% drop from the first Hobbits opening in December of last year. Sounds like the second installment of the Hobbit Trilogy is already on a downward slope. However, The Desolation of Smaug is far better than the first. If you were bored by the first installment you won't be in this one: Elves, Giant Spiders, barrel rides in roaring rapids, and finally a digital masterpiece of a terrifying slithering fire breathing Dragon.

If you are a Tolkienite this movie is not for you, it is not for the purist. There are entire sections of the movie that are pure Hollywood creation, Legolas (Orland Bloom) pops up and he wasn’t put there by Tolkien, and even an entirely new character an elf warrior, Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) that is created for just this movie.

Putting all that aside the movie is pure entertainment value, visually stunning, and Tolkein fan or not you will enjoy the entire 2 hours and 40 minutes. Don’t agree? Share your thoughts and www.yourmediaworld.com

Move Review: Frozen Disney's New Fairy Tale

Great family holiday movie! Disney has gone back to its original roots and made this into a musical; in

fact it’s a lot like a Broadway musical. I felt that it was a lot like Wicked the songs, the voice, even a little of the story line a magical girl goes a little wrong but in the end is truly good. Of course after the movie I found out why it felt so much like Wicked because the voice of Elsa is Idina Menzla the Tony award winner who played Elfaba in Wicked. The main star voice is Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) who is the voice of Anna the main princess in the movie.

If you have little ones there are a few things to be aware of: the parents die early in the movie you meet them and get to see their love for their daughters and then you see their ship sink in the ocean, the other possible issue is Elsa turns sort of evil for a little while and throws ice at people almost killing them and creates a scary snow creature that chases her sister Anna. Of course in the end Elsa is good and everyone is happy because it’s Disney.

I saw this in 3-D, which was fun because of all snow and snowflakes falling at you, this 3-D was well done and worth the extra few $$. There is also a cute talking snowman and I found myself laughing out loud a few times and enjoyed myself but I am a Disney fan so take this review with a grain of salt.
